10 things that made me happy this week
- My baby boy turned 6, although he decided he wanted to stay being 5 for another week apparently. It was a lovely day on his birthday spent with family and loads of cake! His party with friends is yet to come.
- My nephews had a two night sleep over, the kids all had the best time playing and making funny little iMovies.
- Sunshine. The weather has been amazing, it has just been beautiful getting out in the garden surrounded by nature.
- New car, hubby’s not mine, although he says I’ve stolen it as I’ve been driving it more than he has.
- School holidays. They are coming to an end, but have been wonderful.
- Movie night. We had a movie night last night with the kids, my nephews and the grandparents, it was so much fun.
- The Bachelorette, I am really enjoying watching it.
- Books and reading, I’ve been reading a great book this week and enjoyed writing a post where I shared my favourite books. If you have one you should link up.
- Chats with friends, I’ve been lucky to catch up with quite a few lovely friends over the holidays and enjoyed a long phone chat with my bestie today.
- My mum, I had a rough day the other day and it was nice to get a cuddle from my mum. No matter how old you get it is still nice to have a mum to give you a hug when you’re feeling down.
What’s made you happy this week?
Thanks for joining me, love Mackenzie xx

Amen to #10! I live 5 1/2 hours away from my mom and there are some days in which I’d give anything just to be there with her so that she could tell me that everything will be alright.
Aren’t mum’s the greatest? Mine was away in England for three weeks just a couple of weeks ago and I miss her terribly when she’s gone. We talk several times a day and I feel like the second she steps on the plane, I always need to talk to her.
Enjoy your sunshine. It’s starting to get cold here in Canada. Winter is coming *insert sad face here*
I hope you have a great weekend hun.

Tell me my comment posted? 🙁
Happy birthday to your boy.
So many things to thank for, huh?
I’m happy for all the reunions I’ve had this week. The food, the company. Even the movie we’ve watched that’s making a buzz in our country for its historical significance. Michael Jackson music. The bed weather. Chocolates. Such a blessed week for all of us. 🙂
Enjoy your weekend!
Mum hugs are the best when you’re feeling down, no matter how old you are! Glad that your son had a lovely birthday and the sunshine this week has been fab, hasn’t it? 🙂
Ahhhh what a lovely post Mackenzie! So good to remind ourselves of all the fabulous things life has to offer 🙂
Gorgeous post Mackenzie, and a great reminder to look for the joy in life. Bless your boy wanting to be five for another week. Being six is hard apparently!!
