This past weekend was a bit of a mix of happiness and feeling pretty yucky.
Saturday was here and I was feeling good and looking forward to a great weekend of plans. My mum and I had a baby shower to attend on Saturday and we were excited to not only get to see loads of cute baby things, but also to catch up with family we don’t get to see as often as we like due to distance. My brother was nice enough to chauffeur us and we headed on our road trip and had a lovely lunch all together before heading to celebrate with the mother and father to be!
I had a headache whilst at the baby shower, but it wasn’t enough to stop me enjoying the day, I thought it may just have been the heat, 42 degrees! (The poor mum to be)! But on the way home I couldn’t keep my eyes open or my head up. I went to bed not too worried, I was sure I’d feel better in the morning, instead I felt worse, a lot worse. I forced myself up to shower thinking this would make me feel better, but it didn’t. I had some cereal, but still I felt like my head was about to explode, my throat hurt and my tummy ached.
I had plans to take my daughter April to a birthday party and whilst the party was on all us mums were going to meet for coffee at our favourite hang out, but I just couldn’t lift my head. Hubby drove April to her friends and her friends mum took her to the party which was  huge help. She also offered to have Aspen, as her son and Aspen are great friends and her husband was home to watch them as they spent the afternoon in the pool. Adam spent the day playing UNO with his Granddad and Dad.
Monday wasn’t much better, but I am finally feeling a bit more human, just a bit. I have a busy week coming up so let’s hope I’m back to my happy little self soon.
I managed to snap this pic of some roses from our garden before I got sick.
Thanks for listening to me moan, love Mac xx

Although you felt ill, that photo of you and your Mum must perk you up when you see it. It is a truly lovely photo and your Mum has such warmth in her eyes as she looks at you. Lovely shot. (Get well soon). #PointShoot
