Never let success get to your head;
Never let failure get to your heart.

Today I am sharing some tips with you on how to become more successful, so here goes.
- Make your goals clear. Decide what it is you are working for, what do you want to achieve?
- Make sure your actions (no matter how tiny) are always directed at achieving your end goal.
- Hold yourself accountable, mark down on a calendar what you wish to achieve and stick to it.
- Reward yourself for your commitment to your goals, and actions towards those. Treat yourself to something nice and acknowledge your efforts (this helps to reinforce positive behaviours and will keep you motivated).
- Give thanks to the universe daily for giving you focus and determination, when you show gratitude towards these qualities you actually build them within yourself.
- Say “I will”. “I can”. I am”!
- Be kind to yourself, be patient and gentle, nurture who you are.
- Don’t expect others to make you happy or make you reach your goal, having support, help and friendship is great, but remember you have to follow this dream, it isย yourย dream.
- Don’t compare yourself to others, this is your journey. Comparing yourself can steal your joy, if you feel or act jealous you take away your own feelings of self worth. Don’t allow jealously into your thoughts or heart it will distract you, and detract from what you are trying to achieve.
- Happiness is in the journey as much as the destination, so enjoy it, revel in every success and every step forward no matter how small it may seem at the time.
- Be unique, every one has their own gifts to offer, so offer the world yours. Don’t try and copy others, be you, share yourself with us.
- Be happy for others and their success. Instead of being jealous, if you celebrate others successes and surround yourself with positive and successful people you are more likely to achieve your own goals.

These are all wise words! I always feel so inspired after reading your posts. I think be kind to yourself is a huge one. And not letting failure get into your heart or success to your head. Thanks so much for co-hosting with me this week! It’s great to have you! #candidcuddles x
Thank you so much what a lovely thing to say, and thank you for allowing me to co-host I am having so much fun!
Fantastic advice and I particularly like your last quote. It is important to remember to celebrate each step not just the end goal. Thanks for hosting #candidcuddles
Debbie
Thanks so much and yes I agree it is great quote. Thanks for linking up with #candidcuddles
I love that last one – every step we take towards our goal is important, no matter how big or small the step is. x #KCACOLS
Thanks Jess xx
This is great motivation as I have had a really hard time lately getting motivated to do much of anything, especially write. I have been doubting how to continue my two novels that I’m currently writing, while write new posts for my blog and so forth. Being sick for two weeks didn’t help as it definitely has taken a toll on my body and mind. I needed to read this today! Thanks so much for helping co-host #candidcuddles
sorry to hear that Michelle. Like you say being sick never helps it really affects our ability to be positive. I loved your quote this week by the way! I am glad my post helped you xx
What a great post because it gives so many useful tips that can be transferred into your life I really liked reward yourself for your commitment and happiness is the journey… ๐ธ but there were all really useful. My favourite is your last quote I think this is something my son has taught me as every tiny step he takes is important on his learning journey. (He has autism.)
You are so right it is really important to be proud of every step and I am glad your son has taught you that. Our children really do teach us so much don’t they! Thank you so much for your lovely comment it means so much xx
Great advice! I especially like the part about saying ‘I am’. Not, I’m trying to, I’m going to, but ‘I am’. It’s a very different mindset, which has taken me a long time to get straight! x #CandidCuddles
Yes it is something that often takes us a while to learn, and it is not always easy to remember when things are tough for us. Thank you so much for your comment xx
Wonderful words – I always love your positive quotes and these are so true. You have to say what you can do, not what you can’t. I’ll re-read this when I need a kick up the arse again!! Thank you xx #candidcuddles
Lots of really great tips there and I particularly like your last quote. This is something that I often forget to do ๐ #candidcuddles
so many amazing quotes to choose from! I completely agree with the one about not letting success get to your head and failure to your heart. It is easy to forget that it’s a long way to fall the higher you are so you should always remain humble. As for failure! it’s hard but you have to keep going ๐ lovely post! Thanks for co-hosting #Candidcuddles
great words very inspiring for a wet Monday! #candidcuddles x
All of the tips are spot on. I’ve just added to the linky with my own one aswell. The basis for my thoughts are to enjoy and celebrate each and every moment. In a flash these are part of our past.
