My kids are crazy, you know that ‘good kind of crazy‘, and if you know me, well let’s just say you would understand why they are so crazy. I may moan about how they don’t go to BED, or how they have so many little toys that I am in danger of stepping on and doing serious harm to my precious tiny feet (seriously they look like kids feet) whilst yelling “OUCH’ so loud that even people in the UK can hear me, (OK it may not always be as nice a word as ‘ouch’ especially if there are no children in earshot!)
I may also complain that Adam won’t eat fruit, or how I still can’t pee or take a shower in peace even though they are now 12, 9 and 6, and I still fail to understand how every time I buy new school socks we still wind up with none to wear every school morning!!!!!!????????? But my kids are awesome, crazy, funny, talented little fabulous people!
Hey kids, where are your socks???????
I love them to bits, and without fail that make me laugh out loud every day and they fill me with pride! This morning (whilst feeling like crap because my cold and cough have returned), I reluctantly dragged my tired, sore head out of bed and stood under the warm shower a bit too long, I could have so easily just dropped the kids off with the way I felt, but my children were performing in their school choir. So I parked the car, carried Aspen’s ridiculously large and heavy bag to class for her because her arm is still in a sling (read why here), I battled the pouring rain whilst looking like I’d just got off a plane from Iceland all snuggled in my pom pom beanie and winter woollen wrap and headed to their performing arts centre.
It was so worth it! It was the first time I had seen all 3 of them in the choir. Adam just joined this year and he was so adorable. April was smiling so happily and Aspen got to perform a duet! I was just so happy watching them, it was one of those moments where you just realise how blessed you are to have these tiny people in your life and not because they were performing, but because they were so happy and because they are themselves. 3 different people that fill my world with such light just for being who they are, uniquely them. I hope they continue to keep that sense of fun, that uniqueness and feel free to always be themselves!
And now just because I am feeling all lovely and fuzzy inside I am going to share some pics of my children.
OK yes I went a bit overboard on the pics, sorry! I am just feeling really lucky and grateful today!
What are you feeling grateful for today?
Thanks for joining me, love Mac xx

Aw, such beautiful photos. You’ve really got a talent. Today I am grateful for vodka and OITNB which are saving my sanity while trying to cram a family’s 5 years in Thailand into 3 suitcases. Sob.

Hi Mackenzie, I rarely manage a shower in peace. and mine two are 16 and 19! If no one came in for a chat I’d probably worry though!
Your photos are really lovely and I hope your children always have the strength the be themselves.
