I love to laugh, we all love to laugh, there is no denying laughter makes us feel good, and I am not just saying that because I think it makes us feel good it is a scientifically proven fact!
Laughter can reduce pain levels, lower heart rate variability, make us happier, live better lives and reduce stress and anxiety. You probably already know all that, but I recently heard that it is even more effective if we laugh with the people we are closest too.
Now laughter is great with anyone and helps bond us to people, but it has even more positive benefits when we laugh with our loved ones. Apparently it goes back to the primal parts of our brain because it was what helped connect us to our ‘group’ or ‘tribe’ and increased our chance of survival, pretty cool don’t you agree?
There are so many things I enjoy, like really yummy cake, Easter eggs, pizza, having a lazy PJ day, but all those things are only ok in moderation if I want to stay healthy, so it is pretty great to know that laughter is not only a guilt free pleasure, it is also actually benefitting my health (if only cake was the same!)
So if you haven’t laughed in a while, and I mean really laughed, then get together with some good friends, your partner, whoever really, and start laughing! Head to a comedy night, see a funny movie, have a games night and play ridiculous games, talk about old times and funny memories. Hang out with the people who make you laugh, it’ll do both of you some good!
Thanks for joining me, love, Mac

Absolutely! Our comedy festival is on and I’m trying to squeeze in the cheap hour sets here and there as it really puts a spring in my step and even the next morning I’m still smiling over it. #Stayclassymama
Great advice. Messing around with the children, making life simpler and laughing with sheer joy can be so beneficial to mental and emotional health. Thanks for linking up with #stayclassymama
Great advice. I love to laugh too. The last time I laughed hard was when we took out grandsons to a funny movie this weekend. My hubby is great at making me laugh! š
Yes! Our kids and grandkids keep us in stitches!
Laughter is something I can definitely use more of! laurensparks.net
One of my all-time favourite movies for when Iām feeling low is The Birdcage. It never fails to make me laugh, and that automatically makes me feel better!
We have a lot of difficult things to deal with in our house, but we always find time to put on our favourite funny show and laugh out loud, it really is like medicine.

Best advice that my grandfather ever gave me – find people that make you laugh and stick with them. Love this post #blogginggoodtime
Theyre not lying when they say laughter is the best medicine. Luckily I have a little minion who keeps me entertained
