“joie de vivre”
Life is meant to be celebrated, explored, it is meant to be enjoyed, isn’t it? Joie de vivre means an exuberant enjoyment of life! I love that, it inspires me, it makes me want to get out of my comfort zone and experience all that life has to offer!
Click to tweet: “joie de vivre” Live your life to the fullest! Let your light shine!
When a child sees rain they don’t fear their hair going frizzy, when the see a puddle they want to see how big they can splash, life is about discovering new things, and making the most fun out of everyday. As we grow we loose some of that, we learn the world is not always a nice place to be, some lose that younger than others, but at some point most of us ‘grow up‘ and learn that the world can be cruel and harsh.
Yes we can not ignore that there are some seriously awful things happening around our world fuelled by hate, prejudice, jealously, insecurity, ignorance and greed, and we need to support the people, and countries that need our understanding. We can fill the world with love and beauty, we can be kind to the person next to us, and the people who are far away. We can offer to share, and give love, we can celebrate our gifts and share them with the world. We are uniquely us, we have so much to offer, so much inner strength and beauty and we need to let it shine!
Each day we can celebrate ourselves and love ourselves we can shine our light across the world. We can all make a difference, and we can start by enjoying our lives! It may sound too simple, but by being true to ourselves, by being authentic and following our true path we become unstoppable. We share our light with the person next to us and then they share it on, when we give our gifts to others they are inspired to give others their gifts. Next time you feel too small to make a difference know that actually you are not. Be true to who you are, share your enjoyment of life with others, be kind, give compliments, love freely, stop judging yourself or others so harshly, shine your light, be exuberant and watch the people around you change.

Lovely post mackenzie. It’s true, we do lose that bit of magic our children seem to have. It’s a shame that we struggle to find the positive and happiness in life as adults when everything else seems to take over. I love this post! Perfect to read on a Monday morning to set me up for the week ahead. #mg
Thanks so much lovely, glad it has set you up fro a positive week ahead xx
I love this post – I was having a rubbish day yesterday, we tool the girls the park for some fresh air and it rained and for me I was ready to cry, but for the girls they were made up running around playing in the rain. I have got my positive hat on today.
It’s funny how it is our frame of mind isn’t it. We see something as a negative and yet someone else can see it as a positive. Glad you are feeling happier xoxo
Ah such a lovely post, for me, it is one of the saddest things about parenting when your children begin to loose their innocent wonder about the world! Thank you for hosting lovely and have a great day xx
I love though that no matter what age we can rediscover that wonder xx
Such a lovely post. Thanks for hosting #mg
thanks lovely x
Such a positive post. We tend to get pulled down by focussing on a thousand negatives around us. We really do need bring out the child in us and look at things with a different perspective – a happier perspective.
I hope this has inspired you to do so xx
This is such an inspiring, uplifting post to read on a Monday morning when I was feeling a bit down in the dumps – thank you! I will keep these positive words in mind throughout the week ahead 🙂 x #AnythingGoes
I hope you have a great week xoxo
Hey Mackenzie, I believe that we can bring a good change in the world and our lives are worth even if we could be able to inspire a single person, direct them on right path and help them enjoy life. Let us shine bright together.
beautifully said xx

Great positivity! You make some excellent points that we should all be following. I’m off to give a few bags of clothes to charity, so am feeling positive and with clutter-free warbrobes 🙂 Alison x #mg
YAY YOU! So glad you are getting rid of some clutter it is so freeing!
Thanks for hosting. This is a great post and you are so right, it is such a shame as adults we don’t look at the world with as much wonder and possibility as our children. It can be hard not to focus on the negatives but life really is a wonderful thing and we should enjoy it as much as we possible can
Xx #mg
Yes let’s embrace life with more joy like our kids do xx
Lovely post and such a great idea to spread a little happiness around the world… I’ll be trying to live through the eyes of my son from time to time a seek some of his enjoyment! #mg
perfect way to see it is to look through a child’s eyes xx
Great sentiment – I love the analogy about kids and rain – so true that we get worried about trivial things, thanks for the reminder to enjoy ‘joie de vivre’. #AnythingGoes

Oh it is isn’t it!
Absolutely true- love this post and it is the very reason we started our blog. We are all dealing with so much in our lives and it is so important to keep being mindful and keeping ourselves in check to really appreciate living and do it to the full! Great post #mg
thank you honey, I love your blog too
I love your posts they often inspire me to write. Thanks for hosting #mg
awe thank you gorgeous
Lovely post! Why can’t we all keep that innocence and magic alive. Sometimes as adults we over think things and forget about the small things that could make us so happy. Sometimes I wish I could be a child again and forget there is the that whole channel dedicated to news that makes us panic and worry #fartglitter
so true, sometimes we just need to turn the news off
Oh how much do I love this post gorgeous lady? It’s a lot! 🙂 I think you are spreading something so special in a time where it is easy to spend too long looking into the shadows of our world, you’re encouraging hope and light. I absolutely adore your badge too, you know I’m a fan of the sparkle! Thanks for joining us at the #bigpinklink

sorry you are having a bad day, sending positive vibes xo
We do need to take time to sparkle…and make time for the good stuff. I do agree that a little bit of kindness in a world that seems filled with hate will go a long way. Lovely post!
Thank you honey, hope you are well, always thinking of you xo
Very uplifting. It is easy to get caught up in the grind & mundane aspects of life & lose the childlike joy and freedom – people who keep some of that are much happier though. #mg
