Are you seriously going to make me chose one? No, I simply can not do it. It is like putting a dessert buffet in front of me and asking me to choose between crème brulee, chocolate mousse and fresh raspberries. It’s just plain mean.
Honestly when it comes to health care, I am right where I want to be! When I hear my mothers birth story, my dad not even allowed in, I will happily give birth when I did.
When it comes to sanitation, I am not going anywhere, so it looks like right now could be my era of choice. But I must admit that there is some awesome fashion back in the 1920’s. I could totally see me rocking some of these designs.
Plus I love hats, I would be happy in any era that let me wear cute hats!
I need to shop for a new dress for an occasion I have coming up, so I may stop by 1940 for this one.
Then looking at my photographs of my mum in the 60’s she was so cute in her mini skirts. I love the freedom of style that came along with the 60’s.
I think I could leave the 1980’s fashion behind.
It’s kind of fun though.
Oh and the 1990’s knits, well they’re just too cool.
Just yesterday I was in a shop with some girlfriends of mine and I totally fell in love with this grey designer dress for my eight year old daughter April. It was so cute. I picked it up and had to giggle. I said to my friends I had a dress like this when I was around eight, my mum adored it, and I hated it! I called it my ‘dinosaur dress’. I don’t exactly know why. But I thought it was just an ugly, grey dress, what eight year old wants to wear grey? It’s amazing how our taste changes and even more amazing how fashions keep coming in and out.
Looking through the different era’s of clothing whilst writing this post I see so much of today’s fashion throughout all the era’s.
I just hope the mullet doesn’t come back in, I mean if my son comes home in 10 years with this look, let’s just say I wont be happy!
Thanks for joining me and my leg warmers, love Mackenzie xx

This post gave me a chuckle…the mullet – why did they ever think that style looked good? And the 80’s style clothing? What were they thinking. Maybe I’m just old 😉
It made me laugh writing it too, I must be getting old too heehee
I Loved this post. It’s so fun to have a tour of all of these fashions. And yes, let’s leave the 80’s where they were!
It was fun to write, thanks for commenting, you made my day
Nooo, not the mullet! Haha, you’re right, I don’t think I could handle that one coming back in style. You’re so right though about health care and sanitation. There’s definitely pro’s to living in our time. 🙂 Thanks for linking up with us!!
Thanks Mia x
Oh the mullet. Business in the front, party in the back!
You’re so right though, I would definitely choose the present moment when it comes to health and sanitation. I guess in movies the different time periods can seem a bit glamorized, when in actuality, people probably smelled *really bad* from the lack of clean water and Listerine. 🙂
Haha! What a stroll down memory lane with all those fashions!! I think hats are fun, too 🙂
Yes it was a great stroll, thanks for coming by
I’m just going to admit right now that I had a mullet.
You make me laugh, good on you for owning up
Ha! I just love the 80’s – the mullet never really went out did it? I mean come on, living in Australia, I know we were on other sides of the country but you cannot tell me you don’t cop an eyeful on a too regular basis….
This is such a fun post! I am with you about birthing and sanitation! I think for fashion though it would be the 50’s for me. Although I would need to do some work on the nipped in waist ha! I also agree about the mullet, what was Jason Donovan thinking?!?! Xx
In terms of health sanitation, women rights and domestic appliances I’ll stick too but I do think the fashions the late 40’s early 50’s were stunning so I wouldn’t mind a weekend trip back!!
that’s a great idea, I’ll join you
