The weekend was a fun one and a furry one too! We are a little animal mad in our house as you might already know if you follow my blog. But we are not the only ones! The lovely lady who we adopted our dog off was throwing her dog a tenth birthday party this weekend and all her offspring where invited. My cheeky dog Holly-Rose of course was very keen to go and see her birth mother.
Here is Holly-Rose during the dog race! She is the black one with the white socks on the far left.
Now believe it or not, but this pic is not of Holly-Rose, it is her older sister LuLu, they are almost identical, but from a different litter. The White dog is Rosie she is
Holly-Rose’s Mum, and just behind her is Bandit, he is from the same litter as Holly-Rose.
Not many weekends go by without Aspen baking something, not that I am complaining. This past Wednesday Aspen turned 12! We had family over Wednesday night to celebrate and one of her birthday gifts was a lovely cook book from her grandparents.
She also received some gorgeous baking tools from lovely family friends who completely spoiled her when they came for dinner Friday night, so Aspen was busting to get baking. Knowing we were going to Rosie’s party, Aspen decided she had to bake a cake, even if it was not a doggy one! It was made with fresh raspberries and coconut and smelt amazing in the oven, my home has never smelled better! Even the icing was made from raspberries and was amazing. I can not even tell you how delicious it was, it was WOW!
We also snapped some cute pics of Lacey on Saturday, (Aspen’s mini lop bunny) when the girls brought her in and decided to put a hair clip in her hair, lucky she is a easy going bunny!
And of course Holly-Rose got cuddles too
On Sunday we had some quality family time and had a lovely and fun breakfast out, you can see some pics on my Instagram feed. After we arrived home Aspen’s Bestie came over to do homework as the girls had a shared project to work on. I was so proud of them, they worked really hard, so as a reward they did some baking (yes really)! They were so gorgeous baking coconut ice and dancing and singing in the kitchen. My floor was covered in icing sugar and coconut, but their smiles were totally worth the extra vacuuming!
We were also lucky enough to have April’s friend and her mum (my gorgeous friend) stop by for a play too. My generous friend brought me a beautiful candle as a housewarming gift, she clearly knows me well! It was a great weekend!
How was your weekend? What did you get up to?
Thanks for joining me, love Mac xx

That dog racing looks fun. We have two dogs but think they would spend whole time barking instead of running lol. Can’t wait for my 2 year old to start making me things. Sounds fun. Great photos #Whatevertheweather
