Before leaving home to the hospital last Thursday, I posted the following quote on my FB profile: “I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… We are in charge of our Attitudes.” – Charles Swindoll
We must let it bloom to accomplish our Personal Legend and become fully beings, no matter the obstacles.
Yes I read your post it was beautiful xx
Aww what a great message!!! I love that you have that memory of Australia with your family. I can picture it and it sounds lovely! I remember being a little girl and always wearing these fancy hats for tea w/ my grandma. She would always put a flower on her hat and I remember her once saying, “Always put a flower in your hair or on your hat if you can. Everything looks better with flowers.” Still makes me smile.
That is a lovely memory and great advice xx
Beautiful, Mac! Such an important message that can sometimes get lost in the hustle and bustle of life. Thanks for reminding us what is important!!! xo
Thanks Mia, love your Link Up xx
“”But this pain, these disappointments and heartbreaks don’t have to destroy us. It’s OK to take our time, to curl up for a while, to cry.”
Thank you for that, especially. I think this sort of self-help society, at times, makes us feel like we’re weak or not working hard enough to be happy when we take our time, curl up and cry. Sometimes shit just sucks and it should be okay to feel that way at times. It is completely human not to know what the heck we’re doing every now and then, right?
But I also agree that we can’t stay in that position for too long of a time. We should always find our ability to bloom again. But rain is as necessary as sunshine 🙂
Loved this!
It is funny as I was just talking to my mum about this earlier, she was saying we can’t cry we need to keep strong, but I disagree, like you say there are just times we need to let it out, to have the freedom to just cry, to scream, let those emotions escape. It does not mean we are not strong if we cry. We feel many different things, all sorts of emotions. Sometimes I need to cry and then I pick myself up and I feel lighter when I move forward. Thanks for your comment xx
Beautiful pictures, Mac.
This whole week I’ve been thinking of my need to move out of my comfort zone and your post comes as a reaffirmation!
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of #WriteorDie too! Hugs!
