Let’s just say I was pretty happy when the latest addition to my outdoors arrived. I am in love. I have been dreaming of one of these for a long time. It was worth the wait. It is so comfy and perfect for snuggling up with one of my kids too. I am aiming for loads of Spring days coming up enjoying a book whilst my kids play blissfully. OK so maybe I am dreaming of the last part, it happens, but not for hours on end lol.
In just a few days my baby boy will be officially 7! I am finding it slightly hard actually, in fact I always find in the lead up to his birthday that I get a little emotional. I would have loved another child and don’t get me wrong I know how blessed I am to have 3 children, trust me I know! But knowing he is my youngest was always a little hard. His birthdays are kind of bittersweet. Part of me wants to shrink him down to that little milky newborn, and the other part loves watching him grow into a fantastic boy who is learning so much at school and making great friends. He is such a gorgeous boy who gives the best hugs and always tells me I am the best mummy in the whole universe, of course I think he is the best boy in the universe too. This past weekend we celebrated his upcoming 7th birthday with some friends. I am used to girl parties and I have to say that this experience was quite different!
Let’s just say that it was a little noisier, ย and involved balls, lightsabers, and nerf guns!ย
Yes my little boy is growing up!ย
On Sunday April had a gymnastics party.
And I had to get a pic of Aspen of course.
Sunday night April had a friend sleepover as we are on school holidays here.
And Avari decided my writing desk now belongs to her, um NO I don’t think so!
What did you get up to on the weekend?
Thanks for joining me, love Mac xx

I often feel like that about my children. There is something nostalgic about them getting older but it’s life ๐ It looks like they had a really great time. Gorgeous photos x #pointshoot
Thanks so much, they did have such fun
Ah lovely pictures from Adam’s party, happy birthday to him! Oh yes i agree, if only we could put the brakes on them growing up so fast xx
Thank you Lisa xx
Congratulations! Boys parties can be extremely noisy, my two love nerf guns too! Great shot, it looks fab in b & w! #PointShoot
thanks heaps, yes nerf guns are fun
Oh how lovely. I cry at mu children’s birthdays too. I just don’t want them to grow up. It is something you never realise about parenting until it happens. It looks like he had a great time and I LOVE the cat photo #whatevertheweather
yes I know how you feel! Thank you so much for commenting xx
Happy birthday to your little man! Looks like he had an amazing time. I know exactly what you mean by bittersweet. It’s so exciting and rewarding to see who they are growing up to become, but at the same time you want to rewind and know that you still have all those precious baby memories still to come. Dawn xx #dreamteam
it really is Dawn, he is so amazing, but I miss having a baby xx
There really is loss in all the gains of our children. We love them to grow but we lose a stage in our lives. I am similar with my youngest. It truly is bittersweet. Love your hanging chair. I fell in love with those when I was young.
so well said Kirsten, thanks for stopping by
I know exactly what you mean about birthdays. Little Button is my one and only, and I know that feeling of being so proud of how she is growing up, yet at the same time, wishing for the years to come back. Now that looks like a fab party! And I spotted your photo that we featured over on our #HappyLittleButtons roundup too. Thank you for linking up to the #DreamTeam xx

Such lovely photos, looks like the boys had a lot of fun! I know what you mean about feeling bittersweet, my little boy isn’t even 2 yet but time seems to be slipping away so quickly. At least we can enjoy it while it’s here.
Absolutely enjoy every precious moment, well except when they are screaming lol, but seriously we are so lucky to have children xx
Happy birthday to your little boy, Mac! I know that feeling. It is as though life is purposely speeding by before you can catch your breath. Well I guess that’s how it always feels for a Mama! Hugs! Enjoy every moment. That swing seat is gorgeous! And the rug.. mmm! ๐

Thanks lovely, yes my kids have been up to lots of fun things, back to school today though.
That seat looks amazing! Aw, I still have a baby, but she is already growing so fast – we have to treasure them don’t we? But I do think every age comes with it’s own moments and blessings. Lovely photos – the party looked fun! x
