I want to start off a little differently today, I want to start by talking to you about a blog I read this past week that I think we should all pay attention to. This blogger writes anonymously, and if you read some of her posts it is quite obvious why, but Pen (as she refers to herself) has a lot to say, and what she says deserves to be heard! I admire her greatly and have since coming across her blog quite some time ago.
I don’t usually start off by mentioning my Featured Blogger, but today I felt compelled too, here is a quote from her post,
“Common tactics of coercive and controlling behaviour include gradual isolation from friends and family, control of finances, regulation of what clothes a woman may wear, repeatedly belittling a woman to the extent that she feels worthless. Coercive and controlling tactics are often cumulative and low-level. Some of the tactics are only understood by the victims. Many of the signs of coercive and controlling behaviour are masked by societies perceptions of romance, intense love, the Prince Charming myth.”
Pen is a courageous woman, raising her son, and like so many women she has been through an experience with her ex that no woman, or man should ever have to go through. Her Blog is called The Single Swan, and the post she linked up to last weeks A Blogging GoodTime link up was titled kNOW this isn’t love on International Womens Day 2019. Please take a look at her post and her blog, and Pen feel free to grab your featured writer badge.

Thanks for the spotlight on such an important topic.
When women trade their independent thinking and their other relationships for a “story book” love that is NOT love, they are in great danger.
Absolutely Michele, it is not love, thank you for commenting xx

There is a new app out Arc. You can track abuse(or suspected abuse) via written entries, video, photos and voice recordings. It also has help numbers and articles. Free from the App Store
